Allen Township Dog Park and Walking Trail
673 Savage Road, Northampton, PA

The Allen Township Dog Park/Walking Trail area located at 673 Savage Road. The dog park is an off-leash play area where dog owners can enjoy a park-like setting and the chance to socialize with other canines and their owners. The key benefits of creating this type of facility are: to allow a dedicated space for dogs to exercise and socialize safely and to promote responsible dog ownership. Phase I of the park contains two fenced off-leash exercise areas. The Small Dog area (left) is for dogs less than 30 pounds. The Large Dog area (right) is for dogs over 30 pounds.

In addition a perimeter walking trail which intersects the Nor-Bath Trail circles the fenced off-leash area. For safety purposes, leashes are required for all areas outside of the designated fenced off-leash areas. This project has been funded in part by the Northampton County 21st Century Open Space Initiative.

The Township also worked cooperatively with Northampton County to aquire the use of the 12.75-acre site for this project. The majority of the project has been constructed by the Allen Township Public Works Department. The Supervisors ask that users abide by the general rules below. Please review the rules before visiting the site.
